position with the rest of the democratic world looks disgusting on account of an unstable political system. The options for internal social peace have been exhausted, on account of entrenchment of personal rule through deception, theft of tax shillings & national resources, murder, propagation of a looting group in the economy to keep the regime running. This is full-blood dictator situation, once the opportunity to appear relevant on the world stage dwindles, they turn their wrath on the population with a hope to silence them and prolong their stay. Already some major powers have indicated their distaste by distancing themselves from funding the corrupt regime. The local opposition, more than before must seize the opportunity for unity. The fighters, more than before see the opportunity to relieve the burden of a corrupt system. Uganda looks set for a show-down, and a bad ending for regime. The current posturing in the region – Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, is just that – short-lived posturing, not meaningful solution. It has already been met with warning from local leaders in those countries. The region and the international system, is praying for Ugandans to collect themselves for change. That moment is ticking.
